7/12/10
Today we performed to the year 10 learning skills class. I thought the performance went really well because, the transitions made all the scenes flow really well together, and let the set change smoothly without it being distracting. I thought we all performed very well, and that we all stayed in character. Things i thought could of improved, were the ending, because the audience did respond that they didnt quite understand it. The audience also felt that some of the scenes were quite chilling, which they felt was good. I think we created a good drama,and that we got the point about all the different types of bullying across to the audience.

1/12/10
Today we came in half way through lunch to rehearse and Rachel also gave us her lesson her to practise too. We decided for the first scene instead of reading the monologue over each other to just say Dear Diary at the same time and then say the most important part of the letter over and over. We then went through it from start too finish, but too the first scene we added Alys, April and Autumn who would follow behind me and James, to show we were a group of "bitchy" girls and boys. From doing this when they do there scene (physical) there going to say there filming it and putting it on you tube, so whilst there doing it all there going to be on camera to me and James, who mime reactions from watching it. We then came up with an ending, where all the bullies stand in a line and say im so sorry and go to the ground and behind them is stood the victim, we quickly came up with this as we were later in the lesson performing to Penny's year 11 class. When we had finished performing, they gave all positive feedback and like the ending so we decided to keep the new ending.

In todays lesson, we got straight on with it as a whole group, and went through each scene including the beginning. We decided how were going to block the first scene, which were going to have the victims in a line and say there diary entry's over each other... the bell then goes and we walk and go into the first scene.
the scene we worked on mostly was the physical scene. We decided that to make it very powerful, to use cutting hair extensions, and pretending to shave off the eye brows shows how horrible physical bullying is.

Today we basically did the same as the other lesson and went though and kept on polishing our scene. We then went back and watch and gave feedback on Sarah, Rachel, and Abbi's group.
Also we stayed behind after shcool to do some extra rehearsing. We decided we needed something inbetween each scene to sepearte from going staright into the next one, so we thought of a school bell. And we also thought as for when the bell goes we walk up and down representing a school corridor.
As we walk down the corridor we will stay in characters, so the bullies push the victims and tell them too move out of the way.
We then decdied in our next lesson we need to put it all together and work on the begining and the ending.

Today we went through our scene, and just worked on how we could structure it.
So we had James and I walking to a bus stop and seeing Katie and Joe there, so we go over and verbally abuse her there. we went through it a few times, and kept on polishing up on what we had done in that lesson.

The aim for this lesson was too have the drama plot created so we could get started.
the group came up with different ideas on how we could work :
we decided we would have 5 scenes
We are going to make it so we give verbal abuse to katie because we dont understand how she has got a good looking boyfriend.

In our second lesson of this, we discussed the use of narration to be used in our final drama. We also found out we were now performing to year 10 and 11 learning skills lesson in the first week of december.

Dear diary,
as i was walking too school today, thinking it was any other day, the older kids, started throwing things at me and calling me all sorts of horrible names. I ignored them at first, until it happened again on the way home.
the rest of our group worked in pairs. And all wrote their own diary entry, when we'd finished writing them we decided to stand in a line and for the pairs to stand on the opposite side of the line so it worked its way in too the final one. We thought it would be affective if the pairs walked out, the first member of the pair for exmaple me and Rachel were first, i walk out first and say 24th november 2007, Dear Diary, then i pretend to write while rachel read the rest of the entry. We did this on going until we were stood in a triangle possition,
we then performed this to the bullying group, who then showed us what they had been working on.
